  37. A friend of mine bought a Ten-Tec Paragon trx a couple of years ago. Since 
  38. that he has suffered from noise in the audio of the rig. There can be heard 
  39. high noise even without an antenna.  We believed that the audio stages are 
  40. noisy but we do not know exactly the source. Is the phenomena only in this 
  41. individual or concerns it all Paragons? Does somebody know any idea for this?

  59.  It is an older radio but for its age it is in great condition.. only a
  60.  minor problem with the voice readout <You cant just push the button,
  61.  you have to hold it down for the complete readout> I have used it in
  62.  the car and home for packet and it works great! I hooked mine up to a
  63.  seperate speaker in the car cause its kind of hard to hear it in a
  64.  blazer when on the console.. Comes with its own mounting brackets too..

  139. I just received my TS-690S and the TU-8, so I have the spec sheet.
  140. Installation instructions for the TU-8 are in my TS-690 manual,
  141. so I'd expect the same to be in the TS-440 manual (assuming you've
  142. got that.)  The spec sheet includes the DIP switch settings for
  143. each of the tone frequencies.  It appears, therefore, that you
  144. can only have one frequency active (usable) at any time.  I haven't
  145. persued yet how to "program" the use of the tone unit yet, but then
  146. I've only had the rig less than 24 hours.

  150. Also, I'm sure the Kenwood folks would gladly send you another
  151. spec sheet and installation instructions if you don't have them.
